1. I was conceived in Boston
2. Neither of my parents were with me the day I was born. I arrived weeks early and almost killed my mother; she was unconscious for more than a day. My father was in Vietnam and the fighting was of such intensity at that juncture that the Red Cross did not get word to him until, 3 days later. He thought New Year’s Eve was my birthday.
